Travel with ease and style with Monos

A friend told me recently that she was travelling and was at an international airport, and she had with her, a Monos Terrazzo Carry-on luggage – which, in case you didn’t know, is a stunning piece of luggage – and she spotted another traveller with the exact same bag. They instantly bonded over their identical luggage, and likely raved about their respective luggage, and then went on their way. Serendipitous encounter brought on by Monos. As for me, I am also a proud owner of the Terrazzo luggage, but what I bring with me to the airport during transit is my Hybrid Carry-On (in champagne), and while I have yet to “connect” with a fellow traveler with the same luggage, I’ve always noticed people steal an extra glance or two at the beautifully designed carry-on.

Here is my Terrazzo Check – in Luggage

As a parent to two tiny humans, and the default “packer” for all of our things (because dad usually just packs his own bag), I often have to make sure that we have extra clothing, and all the “necessities” in case we miss our flight and have to stay overnight somewhere. To my surprise, all of our things fit perfectly in my carry-on. And yes, while they also have their own “bags” to pack, I have to make sure we have an extra change of clothes, toothbrush, hairbrush, as well as additional snacks, because heaven forbid that we runAnd from the outside, the Hybrid Carry-On may look like a very lightweight, small-ish luggage, the ample space it allows for all of our things…. Simply astounding out on the plane. One of the things I truly appreciate about my luggage, is the two separate compartments, one side with a zip, and the other with a compression pad. This is where “thoughtfully designed” aspect of Mono products really shines through. Also, since becoming a mom, I’ve started to notice all the other parents at the airport. And, let me tell you, when you are chasing after two kids, with a carry-on, and likely another bag or two, you don’t want a luggage with dysfunctional wheels, or anything that is remotely challenging to maneuver. Luckily for us, all of my Monos luggage have always moved so effortlessly around the airport, and this takes a load of stress off of me when I’m traveling with my small ones. A good testament to how “easy” it is to maneuver Monos luggage, is when I have to wheel my luggage through the tiny space between the rows of seats when I board the plane. I often see people apologize for bumping into a fellow passenger when they are getting on the plane, searching for their seat, but due to the way Monos designed their simultaneously practical and stylish products… I’ve never had to!

I have to say that Monos has truly revolutionized the way we travel, and the only selfish wish I have is that one day they can launch a kids collection, so the whole family can match as we breeze through the airport in our Monos luggages.
